Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 May 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Freyja desktop application and the related website at falciighol.github.io/freyja-releases (collectively, the “Software”). The Software is provided by the individual developer publishing under the GitHub handle @Falciighol (“we”, “us”, or “the Vendor”). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. License grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Vendor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for your personal or internal business purposes.
- Free tier: You may use the Software at no charge subject to the feature limits described on the pricing page (currently: up to 3 plans, last 5 runs of history per plan, no scheduled execution).
- Pro license: A one-time purchase of a Pro license unlocks the full feature set and may be activated on up to three (3) devices belonging to the licensed individual or, where purchased by a business, the same end user within that business.
2. Restrictions
You agree that you will not:
- Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the Software or your license key;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of GitHub’s Terms of Service or API usage policies;
- Attempt to circumvent license verification, activation limits, or feature gates.
3. Pricing and payment
The Pro license is offered as a one-time purchase at the price displayed on the pricing page at time of purchase (currently USD 39). There is no subscription and no recurring billing. All purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record for the transaction. Paddle handles payment processing, fraud detection, tax collection, invoicing, and refund administration. Paddle’s own Buyer Terms apply to the purchase itself.
4. Refunds
A 14-day money-back guarantee applies to Pro license purchases. See our Refund Policy for full details and request instructions.
5. Updates
The Software includes an auto-update mechanism that periodically checks the public releases page for newer versions, downloads them in the background, and installs them on restart. You may disable updates through your operating system or by blocking the relevant network connections, but the Vendor cannot guarantee compatibility, security patches, or continued license-server compatibility for stale versions.
6. Your data and credentials
The Software is operated locally on your device. It stores plans, configurations, run history, and your GitHub Personal Access Token (“PAT”) in a JSON file under your operating system’s user-data directory. You are solely responsible for the security and scope of any tokens you provide, for the workflows you choose to dispatch, and for the consequences of those workflows. The Vendor does not have access to your tokens or your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Third-party services
The Software relies on third-party services that you bring or that Paddle operates on our behalf:
- GitHub: The Software interacts with the GitHub Actions API directly from your device using your PAT. Your use of GitHub is governed by GitHub’s own terms.
- Paddle: Payment processing, license issuance, and refund administration. See above.
- License verification endpoint: For Pro users only, the Software periodically calls a small license-check endpoint operated by the Vendor that returns a boolean validity result.
8. Intellectual property
The Software, including all source code, binaries, design, and documentation, is and remains the exclusive property of the Vendor and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted to you other than the limited license described in Section 1.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE VENDOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, NOR THAT ANY DEPLOYMENT TRIGGERED THROUGH THE SOFTWARE WILL SUCCEED. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THE OUTCOMES OF WORKFLOWS YOU DISPATCH.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE VENDOR’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SOFTWARE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR, IF YOU USE THE FREE TIER, USD 0). IN NO EVENT SHALL THE VENDOR BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST BUSINESS, OR FAILED DEPLOYMENTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
11. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it. The Vendor may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including by attempting to circumvent license enforcement or by abusing the license-verification endpoint. Sections 8 through 10 and 12 through 14 survive termination.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where reasonably possible, by an in-app notice. Continued use of the Software after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Vendor is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, save where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
14. Contact
For questions about these Terms, the Software, or any other matter, please open an issue on the public freyja-releases repository. For purchase-, invoice-, or refund-related questions, contact Paddle’s buyer support via paddle.net.
